Analytics, dashboards, and business intelligence are ranked by campus leaders as the technology area most crucial to achieving their institution’s mission. Yet most campuses struggle to integrate data silos, devise dashboards that provide comprehensive campus-wide views, and establish a culture that embraces the use of data in decision making. Few have succeeded in integrating analytics into every aspect of the campus, rather than relegating it to a separate corner.
This highly interactive day-long pre-conference Analytics & Business Intelligence Institute will accelerate your efforts to make data a cornerstone of your campus. Through a combination of discussion, simulation, and experiential exercises, participants will develop a clear understanding of what decisions analytics can help them make and the best way to transform analytics insights into action. Mock campus scenarios will be used to engage participants in exploring data dashboards, investigating insights, making decisions, and using results to inform future decisions.
Following the Institute, all participants will be provided with access to the Campus Labs Analytics Readiness Assessment. Additionally, each participant will receive skill badges that can be applied toward the Data and Analytics Champion Credential.
Audience: Ideally, a 3 to 5 person cross-campus team with leaders or rising leaders should attend. Example titles include: Provost/VPAA/CAO, VPSA/Dean of Students, VP/Director of Assessment, VP/Director of Student Success, VP Innovation, CIO/Director of Information Technology, VP/Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Academic Dean, Associate Provost, and Associate Vice President.
