System Integration

Campus Labs CollegiateLink can provide several points of integration with your campus systems. These integration points include:

Integration with campus-wide authentication systems for single sign-on capabilities:

  • All authentication systems and portals can be supported with appropriate configuration and coding, and native integration is offered for common authentication architectures including LDAP (OpenLDAP, Active Directory, etc.) CAS (version 1.0 or 2.0), and Shibboleth (Campus Labs is a member of the InCommon Federation).

A web services API used for campus technology teams to pull data from the Campus Labs CollegiateLink system:

  • Store data on student participation and organization membership in your central data warehouse.
  • Add verified co-curricular transcript data to your institution’s official transcript.
  • Build web pages within your campus website, portal, or intranet containing information from Campus Labs CollegiateLink.

Integrate with many commonly-used calendaring or financial systems, ERP platforms, and SIS applications:

  • iCal feeds may be used to export individual events from Campus Labs CollegiateLink into campus calendars or reservation and facility management systems.
  • Financial transactions from your institution’s financial system may be imported into Campus Labs CollegiateLink to show student organization account balances.
  • Export approved financial transaction requests from Campus Labs CollegiateLink into other accounting systems to automate check runs and purchase orders.
  • Automatic data imports from your SIS may be configured to occur each time a user logs in as part of the authentication integration.
  • Verify eligibility of students to vote in elections based on student status, class year, college/school of enrollment, or other affiliation with the institution.

Campus Authentication

Extend campus single-sign-on (SSO) with authentication methods such as CAS, Shibboleth, or LDAP. CollegiateLink may also be configured to accept user information and authentication through a pass-through methodology wherein campuses authenticate users and pass any desired user data into the system.

Web Services API

Pull data directly from CollegiateLink and use it in other campus systems or websites. This technology allows co-curricular involvement data to be used in admissions directories, alumni databases, or any number of other campus databases or web-based applications.

Data Imports

Pre-populate the system with organization financial transactions, student swipe card IDs, or membership data. Automatic user data imports can also occur as part of an integrated authentication configuration.

Data Exports

Create downloadable reports, put events on your calendar, or copy the virtual flyerboard to a campus website. Any custom form you build for collecting data through CollegiateLink can also provide aggregated summary reports of your participant submission results.
