Measure Engagement

Providing opportunities to get involved in campus activities is not difficult for most institutions; rather, measuring levels of student satisfaction and engagement with those activities, however, is often a challenge. Campus Labs CollegiateLink provides tools for creating surveys and quantifying student exposure to learning outcomes. Additionally, through integration with Campus Labs Baseline, assessment instruments can be sent to students, extending your ability to:

  • Compare self-reported student interests against the interests of your organizations in order to assess whether involvement needs are being met.
  • Measure the effectiveness of service learning outcomes based on student participating in organizations with recorded service hours.
  • Capture evidence of student learning through pre- and post-assessments, administered before and after learning opportunities to gauge the effectiveness of specific activities.

Recommendation tools suggest activities or events to students based on self-reported interests. The tools may be used by prospective students as well, allowing them to explore what activities a campus has to offer. A school may choose to use a default set of over fifty interest categories or customize its own list.

Service Hour Tracking

Collect completion records of individual or organization service hour amounts. Verification contacts can be included with completion submissions, allowing follow-up confirmation to precede approval. Reporting options put aggregate service hour data at your fingertips making it easy to apply for national grants, honors, or campus service awards.

Learning Outcomes

Use common higher education frameworks or your own learning outcomes rubric. Any number of levels of achievement can be added to a given outcome, each with its own point value and multiplier. Students may submit qualitative self-reflections on any outcome assigned to them and can be displayed on the co-curricular transcript.

Assessment Integration

Follow-up assessments can provide measurements of learning and satisfaction from students. Using Campus Labs Baseline, institutions can send out custom studies to student leaders or event participants. Student Information System data such as GPA can be imported to cross-tabulate against assessment results.
